Flowers & fabric in focus

My Flower Formation Series is a collection of works that focus on an individual blooms in detail. The single flower depicted centrally within a square canvas often have a very distinctive and dynamic feel. I have intentionally paired flowers with fabric and textile backgrounds to compliment their natural form but in turn to add a sense of maximalist decoration to the paintings. These are the foundational paintings in my exploration of blue and white and are at the core of my art practice
